Sponsor a season of better decisions for your farmers.
Every farmer in your group gets one clear WhatsApp message a week about their own field. You get a live view of the whole group and a season report you can take to your board.
No satellite knowledge needed. The call is 20 minutes, in English, Hindi or Marathi.
- Farmers pay nothing. You sponsor the Decide plan for your group.
- Priced per farmer per season, quoted for your crop and group size.
- Live dashboard during the season, season report at the end.
- Independent advice. Sponsors never see or edit a message.
What exists before the first season, and what does not.
VarshaKrishi is pre-pilot. No sponsored season has run and no farmer group is active yet; the first season planned is Nagpur orange in Vidarbha, 2026-27. This is what you can inspect before you decide.
Published methods
Every source, the four advisory states, the rules for cloudy weeks and small plots, the limitations register and the citations. Methods and evidence
Open data
A year of real Sentinel-2 readings for one field near Katol: 91 passes, 56 clear, free under CC BY 4.0 with open-source code to reproduce it. Open data
Demo dashboard
The partner dashboard runs today on example data, not a real group. We walk you through it live on the call.
Season report outline
No season report exists yet; the first follows the 2026-27 season. It will contain only counts: farmers enrolled; messages sent, delivered and read; one-tap replies; Decide time windows and the actions logged against them; the weeks each field could not be seen; farmer-recorded outcomes at season end; and the method and limits behind every number.
Built for the organisations farmers already trust.
Processors and buyers
You buy from hundreds of growers and carry the risk of their decisions. A sponsored season keeps your supply base informed every week.
Drip, input and seed companies
Your dealers already talk to these farmers. Bundle a season with your product and see, in numbers, how farmers responded to the advice.
FPOs and cooperatives
Register members together. The coordinator sees every member's field in one dashboard and can sponsor Decide for the group.
CSR foundations and NGOs
Fund a group of farmers in a district you care about. The season report is written for your board: what was sent, what was done, what changed.
Government programmes
State departments, ATMA, KVKs and FPO-promotion programmes can pay per farmer-season or co-pay a subsidised price.
Research institutions
Need instrumented plots and data you can publish? See research and government.
See every field in your group, every week.
Your dashboard shows each field on a map, coloured by this week's state, with reply rates, open Act windows and any field the satellite could not see clearly.
- Updated every week, field by field
- Group reports only, never a farmer's phone number
- Export the season as CSV with sources and dates
Everything a group of farmers needs, and everything you need to see.
Weekly messages to every farmer
One WhatsApp message a week per field in Marathi, Hindi or English, with the date and source. On Decide: when to irrigate, with a time window.
Partner dashboard
Your group's fields on a map, this week's state for each, reply and action rates, and any field we could not see clearly, with the reason.
Season report
Messages sent, states week by week, actions farmers logged and the outcomes they reported. Every number is a count, not an estimate.
Onboarding support
Join links with your group code, a one-page explainer in the farmers' language, and a short session for your field staff.
Consent and data rights
Farmers consent in their own language. You receive group reports for your fields, never a farmer's phone number from us.
Coverage you can plan around
Small plots, monsoon cloud and new fields are flagged before the season starts, so nobody is surprised.
From first call to season report.
A season is planned in one call and runs with almost no work on your side.
- Week 0A 20-minute call. We agree the crop, the region, the group size and your field contacts. You receive a one-page proposal.
- Weeks 1 to 2Farmers join through your group link or a field contact. Consent is recorded and fields are mapped.
- Every weekOne message per field. Your dashboard shows states, replies and any gaps. Anything unusual goes to an agronomist.
- Season endFarmers record outcomes, then you receive the season report. Renewal is discussed after the report, not before.
Measures in your dashboard and report.
| Measure | What it is | When you see it |
|---|---|---|
| Reply rate | Share of weekly messages that got a one-tap reply (irrigated, not irrigated, checked) | Dashboard, weekly |
| Action rate | Share of Decide messages whose time window closed with a logged action | Dashboard and season report |
| States by week | How many fields were in Watch, Act, Escalate or had no clear view each week, with the reasons | Dashboard, weekly |
| Outcome records | What farmers reported at season end: harvest timing, problems, what they did differently | Season report |
| Exports | Group-level exports for your fields; personal details stay with the farmer | On request, any time |
We report yield or income changes only from a properly designed study. The study protocol is on the methods page.
Your name on the season. Never on the advice.
Farmers trust the message because no sponsor can shape it. That trust is what you are paying for.
- No sponsor edits a message.Messages are generated from data by published rules. No sponsor sees a message before the farmer does or can add a product name.
- No prescriptions on the free plan.Watch never names a dose, a product or an irrigation volume. Decide gives irrigation timing only for crops an agronomist has reviewed.
- Every message shows its source. The date and the satellite on every message, every week. Our methods are published.
- Farmer data belongs to the farmer.Consent at join, group-level reporting to sponsors, and deletion on request. Our privacy notice is in English, Hindi and Marathi.

Questions partners ask
What does a sponsored season cost?
A single price per farmer for the season, with a 100-farmer minimum. It covers the Decide plan for every farmer, onboarding, the partner dashboard and the season report. We quote for your crop, region and group size on a 20-minute call.
Can CSR funds pay for a sponsored season?
Many companies fund agriculture and rural livelihood projects through CSR. Whether a sponsored season fits your CSR policy is decided by your CSR committee and advisers; we provide the proposal, the season report and the documents they need.
Can an FPO sponsor its own members?
Yes. An FPO, a processor, a drip or input company, a CSR foundation or a government programme can each sponsor a group. The farmer sees who sponsors the season and pays nothing.
Does the sponsor influence the advice?
No. Advice is generated from satellite and weather data by published rules, and Decide opens for a crop only after an agronomist has reviewed its model. A sponsor never sees or edits a message before it goes out and never receives a farmer's personal data beyond group reports.
Which crops and regions can we sponsor?
Decide starts with Nagpur orange in Vidarbha for the 2026-27 season. Other crops and regions open as each crop model is reviewed by an agronomist. Watch is available for any field in India, and a sponsored group can start on Watch while Decide opens for its crop.
What do we get back?
A partner dashboard during the season and a season report at the end: messages sent, reply and action rates, the states each field went through, and the outcomes farmers recorded. Every number is a count from the database.
Is VarshaKrishi FPO management software?
No. VarshaKrishi does not keep an FPO's accounts, procurement or member records. It sends each member farmer one message a week about their own field, and gives the FPO coordinator a dashboard of the group's fields and a season report. An FPO can sponsor the season for its members.
