Verified Agricultural Intelligence for farms worldwide.

VarshaKrishi Udhyog Pvt. Ltd. builds Verified Agricultural Intelligence for smallholder farmers worldwide, founded by Tanmay Sahare, DPIIT-recognised (DIPP255998), EIR Fellow at the 5G/6G Centre of Excellence (FIRST, IIT Kanpur). The company does not manufacture hardware; ground-truth sensing uses procured COTS instrumentation configured per deployment.

Mission

Our mission is to make agricultural intelligence as accessible as weather forecasts, for every Indian smallholder farm, with evidence you can audit.

What we build

Four surfaces, one evidence chain

Satellite crop advisory reaches every field without on-farm hardware. Institutional field intelligence adds procured, solar-autonomous ground-truth sensors where research protocols require them. VarshaKrishi Verify fuses satellite and field evidence for auditable verification. The platform console ingests telemetry, delivers alerts, and exports data.

Architecture Principles

Three Constraints That Define the Design

Every hardware and software decision traces back to the operating environment: rural India, monsoon climate, no grid power, no cellular coverage.

Zero-internet
Offline-first by design
Satellite monitoring needs no on-farm connectivity at all. Ground-truth instrumentation is procured and field-configured per deployment - no SIM card needed for satellite coverage.
Solar-only
Procured COTS instrumentation
Ground-truth field sensors are procured commercial off-the-shelf equipment, field-configured per deployment, solar-autonomous, rated for Indian monsoon conditions, not manufactured as a proprietary SKU.
IP65 · −10° to +70°C
Rated for Indian field conditions
Enclosures rated IP65 per IEC 60529. Operating range validated for UP monsoon humidity and Rajasthan summer extremes. Not a lab instrument repurposed for the field.

Leadership

Founding Team

Building verified agricultural intelligence for Indian farms.

Tanmay Sahare
Founder & CEO
B.Tech Aerospace Engineering

Tanmay founded VarshaKrishi to make agricultural intelligence affordable for Indian smallholder farms and the institutions that serve them, building verified advisory systems that work without grid power, without internet, and without the assumptions of connected environments. He leads product architecture, platform development, and institutional partnerships.

Why We Built This

The Problem We Saw Firsthand

VarshaKrishi starts where agricultural intelligence is hardest: farms without reliable internet, without grid power, and without existing sensor coverage. Satellite advisory covers every field; ground-truth instrumentation is added only where the protocol needs it. If the evidence chain works here, it works everywhere.

About the Founder

About the Founder

VarshaKrishi was founded by Tanmay Sahare, an IIT Kanpur student founder pursuing B.Tech Aerospace Engineering (Batch of 2023). Tanmay holds an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Fellowship at the 5G/6G Centre of Excellence, FIRST IIT Kanpur - one of a small number of student founders selected for the programme. VarshaKrishi is his full-time venture, built around the conviction that precision agriculture intelligence should be affordable enough for every Indian research institution and smallholder farm.
