Building the Infrastructure Layer for Global Precision Agriculture.

Agriculture is the largest industry on earth. It generates almost no data. VarshaKrishi is building the infrastructure that changes that — starting where the problem is hardest: farms with no internet, no grid power, and no existing sensor coverage.

Built on proven embedded hardware and open radio protocols.

Mission

Our mission is to make agricultural intelligence as accessible as weather forecasts — for every farm on earth, regardless of connectivity or scale.

Architecture Principles

Three Constraints That Define the Design

Every hardware and software decision traces back to the operating environment: rural India, monsoon climate, no grid power, no cellular coverage.

Zero-internet
Offline-first by design
Sub-GHz LoRa mesh at 868 MHz. 30-day local data buffer on the VK-G1 gateway. No SIM card, no data plan, no cloud dependency for field operation.
Solar-only
No grid, no fuel, no maintenance
Each VK-S1 node runs indefinitely on integrated solar with LiPo backup. Power budget designed for continuous operation through Indian monsoon cloud cover.
IP65 · −10° to +70°C
Rated for Indian field conditions
Enclosures rated IP65 per IEC 60529. Operating range validated for UP monsoon humidity and Rajasthan summer extremes. Not a lab instrument repurposed for the field.

Why We Built This

The Problem We Saw Firsthand

The precision required to engineer flight systems — reliability under extreme conditions, zero tolerance for data loss, hardware that cannot fail — turned out to be exactly the mindset needed to build agricultural sensor infrastructure for rural India and beyond.

VarshaKrishi starts with the hardest deployment environment: no internet, no grid power, monsoon conditions, 45°C summers. If the system works here, it works everywhere. That constraint is the product.
